As cliche as it sounds I have dreamt about my wedding day for for years & years & years. When the time rolled around I dove head first into planning and then in a blink of an eye that planning turned into the actual day.
My wedding rolled around so quickly, one moment I was a young girl dreaming about it, the next I was a girlfriend hoping for it, then I was a fiancé planning it and in the blink of an eye I was a bride experiencing it.
It was better than anything I could have ever imagined, and it went as quickly as every bride told me it would. And now it’s over. It was beyond fantastic. At least I thought it was over, until I received the photographs from Dan. And that’s when I realised it can never truly be over he has captured every single part of the day so perfectly, with care & artistic brilliance.
From the moment my (now) husband, Angus, woke up & had breaky with his groomsmen, to the moment the make up artist arrived at my home, from me getting into my dress, to Angus opening his wedding gift. He captured me walking in to the church & Angus’s face when he saw me.
I have no idea how he did it, but he caught every single significant moment on camera. On top of that his photo’s snapshot the essence of the day so perfectly, looking at any picture I am instantly taken back- its like the happiest time machine. The atmosphere on the night & the rollar coaster of emotion was all captured by Dans photos.
He was so professional, so fun to have around, so sweet, kind & diligent. He worked tirelessly (in Australia’s 30 degree heat too!) and selflessly and made my day one hundred times better.
I don’t know how you ever thank someone who makes the best day of your life live forever. Last week I heard someone ask my husband why we booked Dan as our photographer, and his response was “Because I’m the smartest man alive”, and I think that just sums it up.
Aside from agreeing to marry each other, booking Dan as photographer to capture our happiness was the smartest decision we’ve ever made. He is perfection.
