Don't get me wrong, it's an honour regardless to where I am lucky enough to find myself shooting a couple's special day. But when I get to visit places that are on my personal bucket list, it's pretty special.
Florence has been on my list for quite some time, and Italy in general is somewhere I really do love, the food, the people, the light, the sunsets, the sweeping green hills, it's a naturally stunning and unique place. I met Megan and Rob in Majorca while shooting Hannah and Jordan's beautiful day.
Rob was Jordan's best man, so I got to know him pretty well that day. It was awesome to hear from these two after Jordan and Hannah's wedding and that they wanted to have me along to their day, out in Florence. When we skyped and chatted about the day they had planned, It got me super pumped!
I have to say in hindsight it was even better than they had described it to me. The wedding took place in the stunning Villa DiManiao in the mountains, with views right across Florence, just a dream! I was lucky enough to work alongside a good friend, and super talented videographer in Ben Walton Films, go check his work out. He's crazy talented and a great guy, even lending me some shorts to battle the 40 degree heat!
We were blessed with that crazy heat wave which at times was hard to work in! It was just so hot! However Megan and Rob smashed it and didn't let the hear faze them. Food was outragious, the people, guests, atmosphere was all just on point and the party was pretty insane! (Can thank Jordan for my hangover!)
Guys, I don't think I have ever been around such inclusive, awesome people in all my life. From the moment I arrived, and Ben the videographer can back me up here, we have never been treated so well, and made to feel like part of the family, so thank you guys for that. Hope to catch up again soon.
